What is Inspiration

Unleash Your Inspiration

Being Inspired is more than just a feeling — it's a flow. The word Inspiration literally means in-Spirit, or God-Breathed. At its highest level, Inspiration is more than just a fleeting feeling or creative spark—it is the Spirit of God stirring within you. It is calling toward your greatest joy, deepest fulfillment, and most meaningful impact. There is no more important thing you can do than to learn how to unlock your greatest flow of Inspiration, and then follow it with faith.

When you feel truly Inspired—it’s an invitation. It’s the whisper of something greater for you, a nudging forward guiding you toward the work, relationships, and purpose that align you with the highest version of yourself.

This kind of Inspiration isn’t just about what excites you for a moment; it’s about something eternal flowing within you. In those moments, when you feel a surge of clarity, when your heart beats faster with enthusiasm, and when an idea or direction feels undeniably right, it requires a step of faith. Your obedience to embrace that powerful energy opens the doors for the synchronicities and resources that will bring your Inspiration to life—all for your greatest joy and to benefit the world.

The Difference Between Motivation and Inspiration

Some people confuse motivation with Inspiration. But while motivation often comes from external people, rewards, or pressures; Inspiration is the breath of Spirit moving through you.

Motivation says, “You should do this because it will help you feel a certain way.”
Inspiration says, “This is who you were made to be, and if you step forward the path will unfold.”

Motivation pushes. Inspiration flows. It calls you forward into something bigger than yourself.

7 Gates to Recognize Inspiration ➡️

1️⃣ It resonates deeply and feels right.

2️⃣ It aligns with love, truth, and goodness. (It will never go against those virtues).

3️⃣ It leads you toward growth—and is never about fear, pride, greed, or lust.

4️⃣  It persists. Unlike a fleeting moment of excitement, Inspiration keeps coming back, nudging you forward even if it's inconvenient or challenging to follow.

5️⃣ It often asks you to step out in faith before you see the whole path, trusting that each step will be revealed as you step forward. Why? Because if we saw the whole path upfront, we might be too afraid to take even that first step.

6️⃣ It feels boundless. Inspiration gives you the enthusiasm to wake up early and stay up late to offer your passion and talents to your calling.

7️⃣ It's humbling. Even if the outcome is something big or great, true Inspiration reminds you that the idea and subsequent enablement was a gift meant to be stewarded and shared with the world. It keeps you grounded even as you rise, because it's never fully about you.

The Power of Response

When you respond to Inspiration, you get into divine alignment. You begin to live and create from a place of purpose, rather than fear. You stop striving, and start flowing. You stop settling for less, and start walking boldly into more. See more about that here.

Every major breakthrough, every act of greatness, and every life-changing innovation is born out of someone saying yes to Inspiration. So, what could happen if you said yes to your Inspiration more often?

Feeling Inspired?

If something has been stirring in your soul—an idea, a mission, or a calling—it’s usually not random. Inspiration may be knocking and giving you a divine invitation.

Not Feeling Inspired??

Ever wonder why so many great thoughts and ideas come to you in the shower? It's not coincidence — it's an equation.

If you're not experiencing a regular flow of Inspiration, it's probably not that it's absent—instead it's probably just being blocked. Often, it's our own thoughts, habits, or distractions that get in the way. But the good news is: you can create space for Inspiration to flow fully.

7 Steps to Help Inspiration Flow ➡️

1️⃣ Spend time in prayer - connect directly with the Source of Inspiration.

2️⃣ Slow down your mornings and evenings. Connecting before the mind is overly stimulated, or before it has a chance to process during sleep, can have monumentally beneficial effects.

3️⃣ Read meaningful or sacred texts such as the Bible or other reflections.

4️⃣ Practice stillness, such as meditation where you are not thinking about anything at all, and if something comes up just let it go - or jot it down for later and then go back to stillness for just 10 or 20 minutes a day.

5️⃣ Listen to uplifting music that stirs your soul and aligns with the Source of Inspiration. At the same time, reduce anything that conflicts and overly prioritizes fear, disconnection, or ego.

6️⃣ Have life-giving conversations with others — be ok with transcending conversations about the weather and dive deeper, it's often amazing what results from people you may have had no idea could transpire.

7️⃣ Journal - we often have so many great ideas or opportunities, but we let distraction cloud us or cause us to forget and lose momentum. Writing things down is a great way to continue the good energy forward, and notice all the good things that have already come together.

By following these little habits and sparks the path usually starts to flow through.
