To Raise Your Inspiration - You Must Begin with God

Yes, you read that right. It may seem unusual to hear a company say to begin with God instead of something more typical to a secular world. But we believe this is truly the first and most effective step for a thriving life. When you integrate God into every aspect of your life, and when you unlock your unique flow of Inspiration, your life will feel 100x more meaningful and empowered. This is why we think you should begin with God, because everything else you will learn and do is secondary to that. All other tracks of focus are ultimately distractions, band-aid's, and duct tape applied to a life if it is not centereded around God first.

In a world that increasingly compartmentalizes connecting with God—relegating it to maybe an hour on Sundays—or keeping it strictly a private and personal matter—you can make a deliberate choice to center God in all that you are. Some might question this approach, wondering if it limits your reach or alienates potential business opportunities? But at Raise Your Elevation we believe the opposite is true: we believe making everything about God and Inspiration doesn't diminish one's impact—it amplifies it.

It Has Always Been This Way

Throughout human history, the most enduring civilizations and movements have recognized a higher purpose beyond material existence. From ancient temples to modern cathedrals, humanity has consistently sought connection with the divine, and has spoke through the language of Inspiration. This isn't coincidental—it reflects a fundamental truth about our nature. The greatest achievements in art, architecture, music, and literature have often emerged from Inspiration (what is Inspiration?).

At Raise Your Elevation, when we acknowledge God as the center of our goals and work, we're not adopting a novel approach or trying to isolate ourselves—we're returning to the original blueprint for human flourishing. We're plugging into the Inspiration that has built hospitals, universities, and humanitarian movements, along with so many other great missons that have served humanity for centuries.

Created in God’s Image and Likeness

The foundation of our approach rests on a profound truth: we are created in God's image and likeness (see clip from our founder). This isn't merely poetic language—it speaks to our core identity. We believe our capacity for creativity, compassion, justice, and love reflects divine attributes. Our desire to build, beautify, and innovate mirrors God's creative nature. Maybe most importantly, it reflects our understanding that our best life is built on following our Inspiration, which by definition comes from God (see more about that in this post).

When we recognize this reality, everything changes. Business decisions become opportunities to reflect divine wisdom and have a positive impact. Customer relationships become sacred opportunities for demonstrating divine care. Product development becomes an expression of “do unto others.” By acknowledging our design in God's image, we unlock our highest potential and most authentic purpose. When we treat life this way, the outflow is usually that we feel satisfaction, rise in the ranks of leadership, and tap into a folow of financial resources to ensure all our needs are met.

Finding Meaning Through Divine Purpose

Without God, success becomes a hollow pursuit. While profit margins, market share, and brand recognition can provide temporary satisfaction, they ultimately fail to sustainably satisfy, or to answer life's deepest questions: Why are we here? What gives our work lasting significance? What should we do with our time and energy?

When God becomes central to our mission, these existential questions find resolution. Our work transcends mere economic activity—it becomes participation in divine purpose. Even mundane tasks gain profound meaning when understood as service to God’s ideals for this world.

The First Four Commandments: A Blueprint for Flourishing

It's no accident that the first four of the Ten Commandments in the Bible focus directly on our relationship with God. This priority wasn't established because God needs our attention—it was established because we need God. God knows that human flourishing depends first on this proper orientation. By putting God first, everything else finds its right place and proportion.

Divine Communion: The Source of Inspiration

Our deepest innovations and creative sparks don’t emerge from isolated human genius—they flow from connection with our Creator. When we maintain communion with God, we gain access to wisdom and Inspiration beyond our limited perspective. The greatest insights often come not through strenuous effort alone, but through receptivity to divine guidance. Those core creative kernels are usually not an act of striving, but instead an act of allowing.

Why Risk Alienating Secular Audiences?

This brings us to the practical question: Why risk limiting our audience by openly centering God in our company's identity? Why not keep faith private while maintaining a secular public presence? The answer is simple yet profound: we believe that authenticity and integrity demand alignment between our deepest convictions and public expressions. And we've discovered something surprising: clarity about our values hasn’t diminished our impact—it has enhanced it. We hope the patrons who connect with us are also drawn to our transparency and conviction.

A Counter-Cultural Invitation

In making it all ultimately about God, we offer something increasingly rare in today's marketplace: a counter-cultural alternative to consumerism, materialism, and otherwise hollow business practices. This core conviction certainly isn't the easiest path. It requires courage, consistency, and sometimes sacrifice. But we believe it's the most meaningful, authentic, and ultimately impactful way to conduct business—and we hope that resonates with you too! We appreciate you being here, and we hope you join us in our work and mission.

In fact, if you have a company or organization of your own and this mission resonates with you, we grant you permission to copy and past this manifesto right from our website and make it your own.
